When Bijal is not reading a children’s book, she is writing or editing one. A senior editor at Pratham Books, her books include _A Cloud Called Bhura, which won the Auther Award in the category of – Best Children’s Book Award 2020 in its first edition.

To name a few other books – What’s Neema Eating Today?_ and _So You Want to Know About the Environment.. Bijal has a Masters in Environment Security and Peace from the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Part of the Abhiyan Library movement, she is now a certified climate warrior.
