My Story:
My name is Asha Dhoot. I hail from the state of Rajasthan, born and brought up in Kolkata. Married and have 2 children, both are well settled in Mumbai. I visit Mumbai often. I love Bengali culture very much and cooking is my passion. Since I enjoy cooking and wanted to do something of my own, and these success tales of various women has motivated me to start my own business of sandesh, sweets and rasmalai at the age of 64 in 2019. I learnt making sandesh by my mother. My brand name is ‘Meeetha Saa’ and running very successfully. My family have been very supportive of this endeavour ever since. We offer sandesh in different flavours like strawberry, mango, khajoor, nolen gud, pineapple. Kesaria and Gud Rasmalai are hot favourites. ‘Sandesh Cake’ is a bestseller and is quite in demand during the season time. I also get orders when I visit Mumbai as it is a delight for the locals there. I have conducted some workshops as well and participated in cooking shows on television like Rannaghor. I also had the opportunity to meet Shilpa Shetty Kundra in Delhi when I was amongst the top 5 participants who were selected in a cooking contest hosted by Dabur India. Member of The Lions Club since 2000, have actively participated in many social activities and acts of philanthropy. Hosted camps like blood donation, food for hunger, health care, distribution of masks and sanitizers during the pandemic just to name a few. I am a active memberr of social organizations like Kalyan Ashram, Parivar Milan.

In my free time apart from making new dishes, I like to write articles many of which have been published in magazines like ‘Grehlakshmi’. I love singing as well and have done various stage performances in Kala Mandir, Bhartiya Sanskriti Samsad, Science City, Gyan Manch to name a few.
